All in All Health TIP: Detoxify your body with Chlorella. Chlorella is a fresh water, single-celled algae that grows in fresh water. Chlorella emerged over 2 billion years ago, and was the first form of a plant with a well-defined nucleus. Because Chlorella is a microscopic organism, it was not discovered until the late 19th century, deriving its name from the Greek, chloros meaning green and ella meaning small. In fact that chlorella contains the highest amount of chlorophyll of any known plant. Chlorella is an astounding package of complete nutrition, considering it is such a simple life form. The synergistic nature of chlorellas nutrients is undeniable: - Vitamins: A, B1, B2, B6, B12, C and E. - Minerals: Like most dark green veggies, chlorella is packed with highly beneficial magnesium, potassium, iron and calcium. - Amino Acids: chlorella is a rich source of protein with a balance of important amino acids, including all of the essential ones which the body cant manufacture. - Chlorophyll: this green pigment not only gives chlorella its color, but it also provides many health benefits. Chlorophyll can improve immunity, alkalinity, and inflammation, fight infection and can even fight bad breath. Chlorella is famous for providing a vast array of benefits while fighting numerous diseases and conditions. It has been shown to increase the good bacteria in the gastrointestinal (GI) tract, which helps to treat ulcers, colitis, diverticulosis and Crohns disease. It is also used to treat constipation, fibromyalgia, high blood pressure and high cholesterol. Chlorella has been used to treat cancer and also help protect the body from the effects of cancer radiation treatment. Chlorella is now used as an adjunct supplement during radiation treatment for cancer. Its abundance of chlorophyll is known to protect the body against ultraviolet radiation. Research conducted in Japan suggests that chlorella may have antitumour activity against breast cancer. However, its main use in cancer therapy is to help remove radioactive particles from the body after radiation treatment. Toxins are impossible to avoid, whether you spend your days indoors, outdoors, staying home or traveling, there are “harmful” toxins all around us. While these naturally occurring toxins may not be life threatening all at once, they may be potentially harmful in the long run if you dont protect yourself! Chlorella has an amazing ability to bind with toxins like chemicals and heavy metals, and move them swiftly out of the body. These benefits are powerful and can have a definite positive impact on our health. Using chlorella: - Chlorella is at its best in pure powder form without any kind of binding agents or additives. However, tablets are acceptable if you cant find a way to work the powder into your routine. Look for broken cell wall chlorella, which has been processed to make the nutrients in chlorella more digestible. - Find a pure source of chlorella. Do your research and find a reputable manufacturer of high-quality chlorella. - The typical maintenance dose for chlorella is 3-6 grams per day. However, much higher dosages can be used to fight existing degenerative conditions and for heavy metal detox (as much as 20-30 grams per day). - Some people find they need to start small and gradually increase the dosage as their body adjusts to chlorella. You may start with as little as 500 mg per day and add more as slowly as needed. Since quality chlorella is a whole superfood, it is generally safe to take in large doses. However always check with your health practitioner before taking any supplements. Have a Happy and Healthy Day!
