All is quiet currently across Burke County as our second round of severe weather has moved south and east of the area...however that may not end the threat entirely. At the 9:11 pm we are watching a line of thunderstorms back in Southeast Kentucky around Manchester, Corbin and London Kentucky...those storms are marching southeast and will enter into North Central and Northeast Tennessee in the next hour or so. Burke Weather will continue to monitor the status of these storms as they continue to move in the general direction of the Southern Appalachians. If these storms were to maintain strength they could impact the North Carolina Mountains including the NW sections of Burke County sometime after midnight. We will be here all evening and overnight keeping track of these storms and how they might impact the area.
