All my visits are special, but today was extra. First of all, the security guard at Memorial Hospital stopped his car in the parking garage to talk to me. At first I thought I might be in trouble for violating the cuteness factor. But he just wanted to be my friend. Wheew! Then on the pediatric floor, I met a young girl that was in the hospital suffering from a dog bite. Her parents thought she might be afraid of dogs now. Well - I would have none of that, and proceeded to get right in bed with her. When my mom gave her one of my Facebook pictures, she was laughing! Mission accomplished. I saw another younger girl that was crying while the doctor was trying to examine her. We went in her room and I provided enough of a distraction that the doctor could do his thing. We left then, and came back later. At our second visit, everything was much better and she was happy to pet me. Wheew again. Whenever we would head back to the parking garage, we would always cross to the other building and I would visit the Research Office. They have decentralized those folks, so I cant visit there anymore, but I always try and pull my mom in that direction, just in case. ATW over and out.
