All of the pain and suffering felt by the American people over the past six years (the last four especially) could have been greatly mitigated by greater investment by the public sector. Instead, we have seen Congressional Republicans--starting with the meeting they had the very night of President Obamas inauguration in 2009--make a pact to undermine the president at every turn, even at the expense of 310 million Americans. Every policy Republicans had was a lie designed to protect their wealthy benefactors, even if it meant gutting every single social program funded by Washington. So, next time your Fox News-loving uncle tries to credit the Republican Party with this recovery, kindly remind him to take a deep breath and pop his head out of his rectal aperture
