All of these facts are hard for me to believe. I read all the time. I read everything, from cereal boxes to kids picture books to chapter books to newspapers and magazines to novels to nonfiction... Reading is an obsession with me. I often am reading four or more books at a time. I cannot imagine not reading. Well -- not quite true... I had a several year period of failing vision and legal blindness when reading was a struggle for me. Large-print books were mostly not available except a very limited selection at the local library. They were bulky and heavy and hard to handle. I do not like books on tape or CD. They are too slow, and often I dont like the readers interpretation. So the invention of the e-reader (an original iPad in my case) was a real miracle to me. I told my eye surgeon that it brought the joy of reading back to me.
