All of this hooplah over the NSA surveillance is getting on my nerves and I have largely stayed out of the conversation. I would, however, like to posit something that I have not seen mentioned yet. Although I am a fairly staunch liberal, I do not agree with the infringement of personal privacy, particularly on our final frontier of freedom: the internet. We the users are the reason the internet exists, it exists for us and because of us, not as a seed to sow to be exploited. My real point here is this - This whole situation and the things surrounding it are very upsetting to many of us but it does make one thing unabashedly clear - Obama is not a Socialist, Communist, or Marxist. If he WAS, this program would still exist, but would not be used to spy on the true terrorists - capitalist business owners. Those who carry themselves in the fashion of buying and selling men, the modern-day slave traders. A true Marxist would abolish the stock market and imprison these men for perpetuating class warfare, social injustice, and unabashed greed. I really had hopes for you, Mr.President. I have stood by you as a firm supporter in hopes of the above philosophies becoming mainstream. These actions are indeed founded in totalitarianism - right wing fascist totalitarianism; a conservatives wet dream.
