All right folks - our Christmas Eve Party at Hope House is coming - TopicsExpress

All right folks - our Christmas Eve Party at Hope House is coming up fast! Lia and her Hopeful Hearts Club will be collecting toys, games, kids movies and books for the kids at Hope House. Please spread the word... Bring a NEW, UNWRAPPED toy to City Hall from Monday, December 15 - Friday, December 19 during normal business hours. Lia and her Club members will pick up the donations on Monday, December 22, wrap them on Tuesday, December 23 and deliver them to Hope House on Wednesday, December 24. Pizza Ranch will be delivering a pizza dinner to all the families at Hope House and we have 4 Club families who have offered to deliver home made candies and cookies too. Also, Party Pizzazz was kind enough to provide us with wonderful decorations last month. Thanks to amazing community support, I think we are going to have a wonderful Christmas Eve party at Hope House! A very special thank you goes out to Mayor Nickels for helping out with the toy collection and party this year! He has been such a positive role model for Lia and a huge help in making all her dreams for a better tomorrow come true! And for those asking - yes, Lia still believes in Santa. Its quite a contradiction for her - wondering why some kids get so many toys while others go without. In her mind, Santa WILL be bringing a special item to every child at Hope House. Her Christmas Eve party and toy collection is extra fun for the kids and a way to make the holidays special for the families going through a difficult transition. So if you see her - let her believe in reindeer, elves and the man in the red suit! Let her enjoy that little piece of her childhood that makes Christmas so magical and pure. Let her dream, hope, wish and pray that love really does conquer all. And, maybe if we all believe with her, Santas magic will be a part of all of us. Take care everyone! Merry Christmas!
