All the great pictures showing up on FB of Kirk Johnson is a reminder of what a blessing it is to be able to share them and the memories, when we loose someone we are mourning. Laughter among the tears is a good thing to be able to do, too. Thought I would tell something Sandi and I shared this morning. She and Kirk went to school together and were really close friends in their teens -- which are the HAPPIEST of her memories with him. She told me about being on the phone with him one time when his Mom started telling him it was time to get off! They had been talking for a long time. Kirk refused and finally told his Mom a flat-out "NO!" She said she heard some SCUFFLING and GRUNTING noises coming from him and then him saying in a winded breath..."GET OFF!" Pretty soon Kirk - breathing heavily - said, "Well, I have to hang up now... MOM is SITTING ON ME!" She had probably had plenty of practice in discipline by the time it got down to him, her baby! LOL!
