All the more reason to move away from the infinite growth model and enhance local self sufficiency instead of local dependence on corporate mega practices. Many civilizations crashed as a result of deforestation and over reliance on franken-farming, when they crash the people move from the unsustainable city centers into smaller villages. If we are to combine efforts in any way we should use this time to spread some of humanity out onto the land and be prepared for what may come! Reduce the stress of dealing with it all at once, and prepare places to be able to absorb more people if the need arises!
