All this idle talk of Mary Isaac being in collusion with UWP is just unscrupulous St. Lucian politics at play… However, rest assured, the people that matter are : 1/ Way too wise to not see this cookie for what it is…. ( i.e. A questionable and irrelevant distraction tactic… so just watch and see how the cookie crumbles) or 2/ More concerned about the substantive issue at hand….(i.e. A credible and compelling approach to help reduce the deficit and improve the lives of the public servant and by extension, the people of St.Lucia ) or 3/ BOTH 1 & 2 This pathetic attempt TO SHIFT THE FOCUS OF THE PAY CUT DEBATE to questioning Mrs. Isaacs credibility has now, at the very least, done two (2) thing: 1/ Put an even bigger question mark by true motive or intentions of the most influential players of the Govt of St. Lucia and their allies behind this pay cut…. 2/ Highlights the Governments weakness in and failure to make a more credible,and compelling case for the cuts or a alternative way forward! Why should the other stakeholders feel even remotely safe and trust a Govt who is prepared to play dirty with the other stakeholders just so they can have their way with the peoples money? Especially when there are obviously much more ethical and diplomatic ways to dealing with the issue at hand….
