All this week, a team from the Royal College of Physicians of Ireland, including Prof Frank Murray, President, and Len OHagan, CEO, are on an international visit to Saudi Arabia, Oman and India to strengthen relationships with our overseas Chapters in relation to examinations and training. The President and CEO are currently in Riyadh, meeting with a number of key organisations, including the Ministry of Health, the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties, King Faisal Specialist Hospital and King Saud Bin Abdulaziz University of Health and Sciences and College of Medicine. A major topic for discussion is the development of our International Medical Graduate Training Programmes. Tomorrow, on 21 January, we will be in Muscat to meet the Oman Medical Specialty Board and our Gulf Chapter, which is chaired by Prof Kadhim Suleiman. We will be visiting a number of hospitals, including the Royal Hospital, Ministry of Health, Sultanate of Oman. On 24 January, we will be in Mumbai to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Indian Chapter of the College, which is chaired by Dr Sabyasachi Ray. As part of our visit to India, we are holding an International Masterclass/ CME event on Saturday 24 January at 3.00pm at MGM New Bombay Hospital, Vashi, Navi Mumbai.
