All those stupid, girly memes we used to post about being heartbroken and people failing us, so live it up, drink it down, blah, blah, blah...? I know in my later teenage years I posted them regularly on good ol MySpace. One in particular has stuck out in my head lately though, and I remember it saying something about the one person in our lives that we never expected to disappoint us and break our hearts, will. And of course back then, we, or I anyways, related it to whoever I was madly in love with at the time. However, at this point in my life Ive come to realize who that ONE person actually is that I genuinely never thought would disappoint and hurt me, (I have a pretty open mind, admitting and accepting that people are bound to hurt you and let ya down, so ya, its pretty much narrowed to one) and I must say that it is probably one of the most painful heartaches Ive ever had. Ive been hurt and had my heart broken, been belittled and made to feel worthless, been depressed and had pity parties, yada, yada... It happens. And my rebound rate is pretty frikin quick; its hard to keep me down and I move on, thanks to my sadness turning to anger and then dissipating all together. This is different. Its sticking with me like 10 year cellulite. Ya just cant shake that shit off!!! And what makes it worse is that theres not a damn thing I can do about it. Well.... There is. But I wont. Because Im not that type of person... And I can only hope that someday, aaaaaaallllll the truths will come out and I wont have to feel like this anymore. All I know is, on a night like tonight, Im thankful to be in my home with my husband who, despite being a gigantic, often infuriating pain in the ass, loves me completely, faults and all, and my babies, who all see me at my absolute worst and still look at me and tell me Im beautiful and love me unconditionally.
