Allegations of the Police having Quotas and picking on people are raising their ugly heads again. At this time of the year, where we have all those workers Xmas Parties and the School Children are out of school and in the roads, it is normal and expected that the Police will make more stops than other times of the year. The increase in RBT Numbers, speed checks and enforcement of basic road rules, including indicating your intention at all times of the day or night, are great. The only people who really complain are those who already are flaunting the law and now they are being picked up. Boo Hoo!!!!! If the increased activity by the Police even reduces the road toll by one, it is a good move by them and I applaud them for doing their job and, really, wish they applied the same throughout the year. This time of year is very important for which would you rather go to, a family Christmas Party or a family Funeral.
