And beyond that, how brain-damaged do you have to be to think that there are OTHER PEOPLE who will think this is a good idea? Not just one or two on the planet, but enough to give this wet fart of a project a decent box office return. Please, for the love of God, lets do something about these people. Lets put them somewhere safe, far from society, with soft walls and coats that stop them from biting their own thumbs off. Its not just that I love the original - thjough thats a big factor. Its also the stupidity of Schwalb and co making a film that no-one wants. Fans of the original will hate this; non-fans wont care. So whats the point? Meanwhile, in Hollywood: Hey, Ive got a great idea! Lets make a sequel* to Chinatown! Well get Adam Sandler to play Jacks part, and Lady Gaga can do Dunaways character. What do you mean she cant be in it? Ah, well work it out. And lets give him a wise-cracking CGI poodle as a sidekick. Dane Cook can do the voice.
