Allo Mate….A lot of us put up this false image online. We sometimes pretend that life is great, or that we don’t struggle with anything. Some guys put up pics that show loads of money, flash cars, Gucci belts and some girls put up pics of themselves half naked. Speaking from personal experience, I know that sometimes people do this as a cry for attention or because they feel a bit insecure about themselves. I think deep down we’ve all struggled with insecurities every now and again. Not saying everyone should put up depressing pictures and statuses about how sad they are and how insecure they are, I’m just saying that the way I dealt with my insecurities was to trust that God created me for a reason and that He has a purpose for my life. Regardless of my skinny long legs, or the gap in my teeth, or when I get a big fat spot on my forehead just before an interview! God has a plan for all of us. If other people can’t see that then that’s fine. But let’s try not to put up pics or statuses just to impress people. I’d rather be realistic and pray for God to help me deal with my insecurities and go from there. If I hide behind a false persona online, it may look good to people but I’ll still be struggling with the same issues behind closed doors. Guy’s shouldn’t have to act like they’re living a glamourous lifestyle to get people to like them. And girls shouldn’t have to put up half naked pics to get people to like them.
