Allottees may get DDA flats this month NEW DELHI: Allottees of Delhi Development Authority’s (DDA) Ganga block apartments in D-6 Vasant Kunj may finally get possession of their flats within this month. According to sources, DDA’s housing department is likely to start issuing demand letters to allottees who have been waiting for months after getting a clearance from site engineers. These Vasant Kunj flats were part of a DDA Housing Scheme that was announced in November 2010. “We hope to start giving clearance to the housing department by next week so they can give out demand letters. Clearance will be given first to block A in Ganga and then block B,” said a senior DDA official. Officials said Ganga block flats are ready for habitation and they have been working on water-proofing, internal wiring, landscaping etc. Due to heavy rains over the last few days, landscaping work in the complex was taking longer than expected, added sources. After demand letters are given, allottees will be required to make payments and get their deeds stamped, following which possession letters will be issued. The Vasant Kunj flats have been delayed by almost two years. The flats were supposed to be completed by 2010. timesofindia.indiatimes/city/delhi/Allottees-may-get-DDA-flats-this-month/articleshow/21737111.cms
