Allow me to Re-Introduce myself. I realize every few years I got to do this as I grow. Bc some folks see me in a share space a few days a month and think they know me or my value. Lie. Folks that knew me since I was 10 and that is their only point of reference. I dont have that great of a nostalgia from those days. And the new likers, linkers, colleagues and associates who just see me now and have no clue of whats in the wake of my path. I just finished reading this article Kendrick wrote and Im reminded that Im an artist. I often times dont care when sharing because youre an artist youve got to be creating for you. I get poetic license and in my poetic work I have been blessed to do things I never thought a poet could do. This article is just pure and an unfiltered introduction to the artist telling his perspective on the industry and his work in it. He called it writer at war. I too am a writer at war and I want to be very clear. Especially if you are a creative. War is easy. You having a problem with me is easy. You living in your suffering sucks.... But you think other have it easy. This war is bias and subs and vendettas and ego stroking. We let heroes in this time be something of a triggered-happy reflex. A rebellion of freedom of speech while not exercising the freedom of fully thinking it out. In this edit friendly and baited arena...War is Easy. The struggle is aiming where u need to. Not being so quick to condemn and the hypocrisy of anti-judgement. So with that being said. Im at war.... Im at all of your personal wars... And the hardest thing I can do is to ignore you and keep my peace. Balance that peace and let my actions do the rest. Im running my race, stay in your lane, unless youre tryna build community. I cant be kicked out of something I was never in. So if I say no comment...just no its all respect to your landmine ears. Some things I dont have an opinion on nor do I owe an answer to. I create my reality. No statistic has been right about me. I hope the same for you in this new year too.
