Allow me to be blunt for a minute This situation sickens me. The cries of no justice have been flooding my news feed to the point of nausea. Justice wasnt served tonight? None at all? So the past three months of gathering evidence, examining ALL reports from witnesses and medical experts were just casually tossed out the window? So the actions going on right now (the burning, rioting, looting) are the answer to the perceived injustice that black communities faced earlier tonight? HOW IS THAT JUSTICE IN ANY SENSE?!?! Its equivalent to a child throwing a tantrum when he doesnt get his way. Every action was taken to ensure that this case was taken care of in the best way. We got the president and the FBI involved! What more backing do you need to show that this case was handled as best as it could? Evidence was received, analyzed, reexamined, processed and then a decision was made. The fact that people are blindly yelling that justice wasnt served goes to show that no matter how much you do to cater to their needs, theyre going to turn away from the results if they dont match what they wanted. Theyll say that those who havent endured racism shouldnt have a say in this, that you dont know the struggle. Guess what? Ive been through all that shit and Im saying this: justice was served. What do we do now? We rebuild; we strengthen our community and families in a POSITIVE manner. Burning looting and rioting arent going to do a damn thing but drive that wedge of hatred even further into our society. Im done, sorry for the long read.
