Allowed myself to sleep in past dawn this morning. When I opened the back door I saw a flutter of feathers. I just wiped my eyes to wake up and then I saw it. A robin staring at me from the plant holder on the porch. I thought no, not in July, so I took a look. Sure enough. While I was looking at the nest the nest builder returned, surprised both of us.I stepped back and the work continued. You would expect the bird to stay away when I was so close, but there must be an urgency at work here. Well here we go. Looks like I will be sharing the porch with a new family.
