Allright so i know this burger is from a chain (bring on all the hate that i know will follow) but i still felt it worthy of a review, who doesnt love a quick cheeky burger from a chain every now and then. So this is burger fuel in mermaid beach on the goldy. Which just opened up in the last month or two. I have spoken to a few people who had been here giving it mixed reviews. I ordered the ring burner for $10.90 and kumera fries $5.90. When it first came out it smelt great and was visually appealing. The kumera fries were tasty and the aioli was probably the best i have had from a chain but they got a bit boring after about halfway so i advise to order half kumera and half normal potato. The burger was really well made and held together nicely most of the way through. Considering they named this the ring burner i was hoping for proper heat but the chilli kick which only came from the jalapeño sauce was not enough for my taste it needed a little extra kick. Overall the flavour was great and despite the n patty being overcooked it was still juicy although not at all completly tasting like beef, it almost tasted closer to a chicken sausage then anything strangely enough. Generous portions of salad except for the onion which i always pick off any way unless they are cooked. I will definitely try this place again for a quick burg.
