Almighty God, You are worthy of all worship and praise. Your grace abounds in Word and Sacrament. Your people flourish in the power of Your presence. Bless all who rest in You this day. To the burdened, bring relief; to the bound, freedom; to the broken, wholeness and peace. Provide food for those who wake to a day of hunger, wondering if and when they will eat today. Bring courage to those who rise to a day of conflict and war. Protect and defend the weak. According to Your perfect timing and will, heal the sick. Comfort the grieving with the sure promise of resurrection in Jesus Christ. On this day of rest, inspire Your people for service and sacrifice in the name of Jesus. Amen.
