Almost 14 years ago, I bravely boarded a plane and flew to Mexico City to live for 14 months. The only Spanish I knew was hola y adi贸s y Dios te bendiga. I remember feeling so overwhelmed meeting my Mexican family as they didnt speak English. Im not sure how I communicated with them that summer (I think there was a lot of charades and un conjugated verbs!) but everyone was so patient. Even though I eventually learned basic Spanish, I was thankful for the patience over those 14 months! Now, almost 14 years later, Ive reconnected with many of my Mexican families on Facebook. Im so grateful for the chance to reconnect, chat, laugh and enjoy the memories. You all mean so much to me! Gracias a Dios para ustedes, cu铆date y Dios te bendiga!
