Almost forgot to post these: Last week I had a near-Beatle experience. Ringo Starr and his All Starr Band were here and my old friend, the sole singer Todd Rundgren (see picture), is in the band. He asked if Id like to meet a Beatle, to which I replied, HELL YES. Sadly, Ringo was busy shmoozing with Kinky Friedman and I didnt get to actually meet him. That said, I did stand 10 feet away from one, which is a record for me. The closest I ever came to a Beatle before was visiting the Beatles Experience museum in Liverpool. So, thanks Todd, for the close encounter. (One last thing: The show rocked. What a fabulous band. If you have the chance, dont miss it.)
