Aloha, All . . . We have another Brother who seems to be preparing to make his final Rite of Passage - and WE WOULD APPRECIATE YOUR HELP. He is in a good state of mind and maintaining his sense of humor - and he says he is not in very much pain and nobody knows for sure - but the doctors are predicting within a few weeks. I think we have lost 32 Source Family Members as of this writing. If you wonder if anyone is not included in that count, you may check the In Memoriam page on FatherYod,org - fatheryod.org/family-news/in-memoriam.html I am making an effort to set up a 24 hour schedule for Chanting the Sacred Name for him - IF and when the time comes - and for EVERYONE who would like to have her or his Soul accompanied in that way. We had a wonderful system on our private Family site but coordinating this through FaceBook will be trickier. I have pasted below a 24 hour schedule - which we originally set up for Waterfall - who passed 7/7/2005 - and it is based on Hawaiian Time. THIS IS CONCEIVED AS A PERMANENT SCHEDULE - so we will use the same one for anyones passing. You may add your name (or remove it) at any time and I will try to keep it current. I will do my best to notify ALL Chanting Volunteers of anyones passing immediately by Email and actually call the first two or three people on the time schedule. IF YOU ARE WILLING TO COMMIT to Chanting for one hour (or more) - please Email [email protected] - and include the TIME you commit to (Hawaiian time), YOUR EMAIL, and YOUR TELEPHONE (so that we can notify you of anyones passing as soon as possible). I will add you to this master schedule. If you know of other Family Member who may be interested in taking part in this noble endeavor - who does not visit FaceBook - please send them my Email address. Also please notify me if you know of anyone who is coming very close to that passage, so that we can do our best to insure that this schedule will be maintained. Just to make sure we are covered as well as possible . . . I will put on our Family Chanting CD as soon as I hear of anyones passing - and play it for the 3 1/2 days. IT IS VERY COMPLICATED to make sure that people from 4 different time zones actually understand which time slot they are committed to and they are actually filled into the correct slot on the master schedule. Duane Carlsmith has passed away. He and I were not close but have stayed lightly in touch since the Family. Many may not recognize his name but he was one of the most supportive people during our stay on the Big Island. He was an Attorney in Hilo who bought the Doc Hill Mansion and closed on it about a week after Father left his body. He helped us to find and secure the abandoned Hilo Country Club (which has since collapsed) and we moved up there. Duane was so impressed by the fact that we moved out of his new home so quickly - and left it so clean - when he knew that Father had just passed - that he began to help us a lot. He was quite influential in Hilo in those days and he recommended us to many of his friends and was able to help us to find many of the jobs that helped Father and Sons United Labor Force get on our feet and he was there for us in many ways. Several of the Brothers developed fairly close relationships with him. I last spoke to him this past March and we planned to get together soon. He was in good spirits. He went in for a gall bladder operation in June and didnt make it. His daughter called me to tell me he was passing - she put the phone to his ear and I gave him my love.
