There are so many, spoken and publically unspoken. Carol S. was home for only a few hours before the indication indicated the infection was returning and she was transported back to the hospital. Pray for her physical needs. Pray for her and her families emotional needs. ...Pray for Lucy J. she is one of our treasured seniors and she is struggling with illness. She has been being treated for a thyroid problem. ...Pray for those we love, within and without of our fellowship, who struggle with cancer treatment. Being healthy enough for treatment, and the very, very long term effects of radiation and chemotherapy. For many fighting illness the effects of treatment are gone almost as soon as the illness, cancer treatment can effect the body, for months and even years. Then there is for some long term reconstructive surgery. ...Pray for our loved ones, so many people Sunday asked for prayer for things like: strained relationship with siblings and children, our loved ones who have never accepted Christ as Savior, our loved ones who are not walking as their decision indicates they should. Like we saw Sunday, He hurts because of the consequences of our poor choices and strained relationships. ...Pray for VBS I am mildly stressed. I was walking around yesterday and I saw a problem already. Big picture people see things differently. With limited resources, one persons honest actions can seriously impact another persons long standing plans. ...Pray for Meet the Candidates Night, I am far more than mildly stressed about it. If you think of a place of violence that isnt a place of peace. What you think is what motivates you. Are you seeking the presence of peace, or are you seeking something quite unlike peace? ... ... Christ not only paid the price for our sins by His death, He also bore the wrath of our sins. So, as I love to say on Communion Sundays, God aint mad at us anymore. So, if He aint mad, then what is He? What are you seeking, what is, or what isnt? ... ... When we fall to our knees, whether figuratively or actually, we enter a place of great peace surrounded by violence. Entering His presence we depart the wind and waves and violence and noise and enter Sanctuary! ... ... What you expect is what you will get, align your perspective with our Savior and our Lords current reality. Peace truly is a matter of perspective. ... Shalom. ...
