Aloha family and friends...old and new!! And mahalo to my friend Sherrie Louise for putting up with a scared,grumpy sore friend!!! I stayed up quite late last night! Im not sure why....Elated to feel so much better....scared if I went to sleep that feeling would would go away?? I dont know.....But when I did go to bed I slept VERY well...YEA!! Sherrie Louise checked on me several times and I passed muster. This morning I have pain...but different. Before they sew you up, they put all kinds of good pain stuff on the inside, and I think that has worn off so its surgical pain. I also have a hip and groin ache, so I have a feeling they put one in some gymnastic positions!!!! But no more groaning when I sit and stand!! YEA!!! Its amazing how the old drill comes back....no lifting more than 5lbs. for 6wks....no bending,twisting,pushing,pulling...yada..yada..yada!! Dont care though!!! I think the doc nailed it this time!! I am still so highly impressed with THE LASER SPINE INSTITUTE..... My first two days of pre-op went so smoothly! Everyone so pleasant and helpful. Second day was the spinal block...wouldnt suggest it to anyone for a good time...but he explained everything and what to feel. Glad when it was over. I didnt feel anything at first and was dissapointed as that would have meant I would have had to have the more invasive surgery. After a few minutes, and going up and down some stairs I was literally pain free...meaning they knew where they would go in. And it was SO COOL to have NO PAIN...for an hour and half...then it wore off : ( But anyway, today I feel pretty much the same and am so grateful that I came back to AZ. And just an aside.... Dr.Weiss was my doc the first tim and this time too. Boy did I get lucky!!! He is one of the founding docs of the LSI. He travels around between the 4 facilities that they have. This week is his last in AZ. and he will be permanently be in Tampa,Fl. from now on!!! I feel so blessed from all sides. Again, MAHALO for help, blessings, and prayers!!! Tammy Martines,for helping me get my house ready, Shawne Rardon, and Gene Mills, and Menehune Supdog for taking care of my kids!!! (Mahalo for the pool pic this morning Genie-made me home sick...but be back soon!!!) Okay..enough rambling!!! Time for my second Hallway walk....!!! Aloha nui loa all... : )
