Aloha from Hawaii! A quick Christmas note to catch you up on our year... We were blessed enough to get Cody here for Christmas this year - our first family Christmas since Cody left home 5 years ago. So happy! Had a very good year overall but unfortunately, we lost my sister to cancer in January and my Aunt Catherine the following month. I spent over a month with my mother and family in WV during that time. It was a very sad time. I did a lot of contemplating into the wee hours of the morning watching the snowfall but I did enjoy the winter weather that I dont get to see much of. My heart is heavy as I miss my sister terribly, especially for her birthday in November and now at Christmas time. My Aunts birthday was also in November. These losses are so hard for us here on earth but I know they are both in a much better place and no longer suffering. Tims mother was rushed to ICU in October and that took us urgently back to AR. She is fine now, thank God. These trips were hard but allowed us to see family we hadnt seen in a long time so we were grateful for that. My real estate business did well this year. I met several goals and will wind down my business in the Spring for our Summer move. Dont know where we are going yet but the list includes some great places like Germany, Australia and Africa. We are hoping for overseas so we can travel. Tim goes up for Colonel in November of next year. He moved over to an Air Force slot this year from the integrated Guard/Air Force job he was in and I think he likes it a bit better. Cody finished his last year of active duty in Korea and is now living in Arizona again. He is attending ASU to finish his Bachelor program and is majoring in German. His plan is to get his commission like Tim did and go back in the AF in his job as a TACP. Emiko is as ornery as ever and you can see her from time to time here on my Facebook page. We love her and she keeps us on our toes! We had some great travels this year – visited Cody in Korea (fantastic trip, we did so much & there are pictures here on Facebook), we went to Bora Bora in April for our 25th anniversary (also pics here on FB - most romantic time of our married life I think and just an amazing place), and we visited CA for a retirement ceremony and got to visit family there too. So we were many times blessed this year to see all of our siblings and many of their family members, our parents, and visited with Cody more than once. We also got to see some great lifelong friends. God is so great and we are so grateful! We hope you all have a wonderful and blessed Christmas and a Happy New Year!
