Along with the rest of his Armored Corp platoon and thousands more of our holy young soldiers, my son Gavriel Nachman (ני) has been stationed on the border of Gaza for almost two weeks. Day in and day out they wait in the hot, humid environment, teeming with mosquitoes. Waiting to do their jobs. Looking forward to and simultaneously dreading what lies ahead. Occasionally, they are taken in by families in the nearby communities so that they can bathe and have a few short moments of respite. Every night, Gavriel sleeps upon his nice, soft, cozy tank. Thank you, Gavriel Nachman and all of you soldiers for your mesirat nefesh on behalf of Am Yisrael. May Hashem protect you and sweeten your experience. May this craziness soon finish and may we soon see the days of, Nation shall not lift up sword (or rockets, bombs, bullets, etc.!) against nation and neither shall they learn war anymore! Amen.
