Alpha Scouts, 12 days to the APFT. Here are some final tips going into the final stretch. Start working out around 1700 hrs, this will help condition your body to have peak available energy during the APFT. Today: Give yourself a reverse APFT: Run, Sit ups, Push ups. Tuesday: Light run 1 mile; 4 sets of pull ups (as many as you can each set) Wednesday: 2.5 Mile run; 4 sets of 1/3 of your max reps from Monday (Alternate between Push ups and siti ups) Thursday: Light run 1 mile 4 sets of chin ups (as many as you can each set) Friday: 2 mile for time; Max push ups; max sit ups (dont worry about time, just do as many as you can Sat/Sun rest Monday: Normal APFT: Tuesday: Same as last week Wed: Same as last week Thursday Light 1 mile jog. DRINK WATER all day long; carbohydrate load for evening meal (pastas, bake potato, sweet potato, yams, broccoli) Friday: Morning Stretch, DRINK WATER all day. Ease up on the water around 1300 hrs, continue to sip, some sort of bread or bagle for lunch, drink a power drink (gatoraid/ powerade) and a light snack around 1500 hrs. 1700 hrs, beast mode, APFT!
