Alpine Classic 250 finished ! Wow what a weekend. I cant explain the brilliant terrain, having never experienced the Victorian Alps before. Climbing Mt Hotham as dawn arrived was incredible. I soon dropped to the very back of the group where it was quite lonely but the volunteers were amazing, the views sensational and the race well worth doing. The roads are quiet as well. Group 2 Later start by 2hr19m caught me well before the 2nd checkpoint at 110km. I was getting worried about the cut off towards the end but with a nice downhill from Falls creek and Towanga Gap made up enough time to finish around 15.20.
