Alright - if you do not know me well and weve only recently became friends on facebook - please know that nearest and dearest to my heart is being an advocate for non-violence against women and children. This post, may upset people but too bad. I post about it and post often about my position on #VAW. One person being abused is one person too many. In my opinion, this takes steps backwards to what many of us in the community and world are trying to do in advocating against violence. Right now, too busy to really rant here but people, be responsible and Violence against women (well anyone but the stats for women /children are high) are not meant for any entertainment value and a SERIOUS MATTER. It costs everyone economically whether you are directly effected or know someone or not. These images and people dressing up as Ray Rice and his abused wife are sending the wrong message. And allowing a child to do this as well? Will not apologize for my opinion on this at all. Just wrong and a huge insult to all of us everywhere advocating and educating the importance of non-violence. I pray for this world and the people thinking this is ok. #VAW Know that this just fuels me more to speak up and stand out this is wrong.
