Network Engineer, Senior USA NORTH CAROLINA Camp Lejeune JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Looking for a Network Engineer to assist in providing enhancements and technical support for intelligence production, dissemination, and information search capabilities required to support Operating Forces; assist in managing the Marine Corps Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) Enterprise Office (SEO); and assist in providing governance, network administration and service orientated processes. Specific tasks include, but are not limited to: •Provide technical hands-on network administration and engineering for internal and enterprise architectures. Assist with the collection of information for data calls and portfolio management of network hardware, software & licensing. Assist Senior Personnel in providing monthly status reporting of network health to the Communications Officer. Implement new hardware and software technology into Infrastructure. Provide assistance with software upgrades. Maintain network policy server. Assist with the planning for future technology purchases. Develop and maintain SCI Network Diagrams adhering to DODAF guidelines. On call for any emergency issues that require response. Responsible for testing and configuration of data communication protocols to include IP, VLAN, SNMP, DHCP, SYSLOG, VRRP, EAPS and ACL’s. Provide support to the site with technical hands-on network administration and engineering for internal and enterprise architectures. •Assist in administering and maintaining Windows Server 2008R2 and Windows 7 workstation environments; configuring and troubleshooting basic network communications. Provide after hours/weekend support for critical systems when necessary to continue the operations of these systems and devices in accordance with industry standards. Maintains Microsoft Active Directory and understands domain level server roles and requirements. Assist in deploying new servers, images, and updates utilizing Microsoft Systems Management Server (SMS) and Microsoft Operations Manager (MOM). Performs tier I and II troubleshooting of servers, workstations, and applications within the Active Directory environment. Resolves Microsoft Exchange Server 2010 issues. Completed work in a timely manner while being able to work independently in a dynamic environment with minimal oversight. Requirements: • A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institute in an area applicable to this position (e.g., information systems, computer science, or related field) and three years of related experience; or a high school diploma and six years of related experience. •Shall meet DOD 8570 requirements and have current applicable operating systems certifications required. IAT Level II (Security+ & Networking Certification and Windows Certification). •A minimum of two years’ experience with TACLANE KG175A/D encryptions and A minimum of two years’ experience with enterprise level network switches and routers, experience with Extreme Networks and Juniper hardware is desired •Windows, Active Directory, and Exchange Administration Experience Clearance: •Position requires a TS/SCI clearance with a CI Polygraph
