Alright group, 01 Dodge Ram 1500, 102 whip on top of a heavy-duty spring on top of an L shaped truck mirror mount mounted to the rear-most panel on the drivers side 3 in front of the taillight, 10 guage ground wire running from one of the antenna mount bolts to the bed on a metal-to-metal connection. Brand new mini-8 coax. Galaxy DX88HML with the hi/low d/k set on low (2 watt) with rk56 mic, a Motorola ex speaker and a 3ft jumper to a rat shack swr meter. Channel 1- 2.0, channel 40 - 1.9, channel 20 - 1.95.......what am I missing to get my swrs down? Also, Ive recently replaced the ground wires from the battery to the motor and body with larger guaged wire for better grounding. Im at a loss. I know those swrs arent terrible and completely usable, but I just dont like it. Any help would be great, thanks!
