Alright guys so today was an adventure and I want to ear you alls feedback... This is my review of Animals R Us, where I went today. Has anyone had any experiences like this? I am just so shocked and offended. I called Monday and made an appointment to bring my horse here to get his teeth floated the same weds. It was one of the only two places that take care credit so I had no other options. On making an appointment the lady said it was fine that I bring him and they could do his teeth, the site also advertised as doing equines. On arrival, we noticed there was NO parking for trailers. The front has a few parking places but no where for us. We managed to cram our trailer right between the road and the parking spaces and watched as multiple people had trouble getting out of their parking spaces because it was the only place we could be. Not only did they not have any parking places but they have NO proper facility or area for horses. Luckily I have the most calm bomb proof old horse because any other horse would have freaked out being no more than a yard from busy state street. There is no fencing, no areas, nothing. Then we checked in, and my horse waited 30minutes past my appointment time in the hot sun in the trailer waiting for the vet. Finally the vet came out and attempted to unload the horse himself. Keep in mind I own a bomb proof 23 year old and if it had been any other horse this would have been a huge deal. He opens the ramp before we even had time to unclip him. We had to ask him to step away from the trailer so we could safely unload my horse. He then had us walk him to the front yard which was a few yards from the parking lot and state street, and asked him to stand still while he looked in his mouth because there was no place to tie. He constantly tried to take his lead rope from me without asking, and the whole time he dug in his mouth he tried to do the lip twitch which obviously did not work as my horse who is normally perfect looked as if he may rear or strike. He then informed us that he did not have the proper equipment to do his teeth. He was going to manually float them while his assistants held open his mouth while standing in the front yard of the clinic right in front of a street with cars going 50mph. After he told us he couldnt help us, he just walked right back inside without saying anything else. I went in to make sure they where not going to charge us while my friend loaded my horse and proceeded to ask why I had not been informed that they did not have the proper facility, tools, or a safe place to care for my horse when I called and made an appointment and the lady told me I didnt ask. On that I told them it was unprofessional and if it had been any other horse besides my bomb proof old man it could have been extremely dangerous. I would not recommend this place to anyone for any animal. They are unprofessional and the way my horse and I where treated was beyond crazy.
