Alright, so for those who have been keeping up with my issues with our 94 C4, last I posted I had swapped a new AC Delco optispark in and it was running backwards, firing out the intake. I took it back off and triple checked the spline alignment on the opti and cam. Still no dice. Got another AC Delco unit to swap in from the first one and again, triple checked, installed, still running backwards. At this point I figured wth, I guess timing is off somehow. Today pulled the timing cover and the timing marks line up perfectly... No slack on driver side of chain, just a little slack on the passenger side of chain. Not enough to jump a tooth, as I purposely tried to move it a tooth just to see if it would. Now, I already bought a new Cloyes timing chain and gear set, but it doesnt look like I need it. So ruling out timing being off and having 2 straight-from-AC Delco-remanned-Optisparks, anyone else have any ideas why the hell this car still isnt running? Cranks, tries to fire, but spits and coughs white smoke out the intake.
