Alright so last night we decided to go to McDonalds on our way home since it was in the evening and too late to cook. We went to the McDonalds on 41 as that is on our way back home. We ended up getting $29.42 worth of food for everyone. I checked my bank account today and now have 72 cents in my bank account because they charged me twice. Not only was I charged twice but at 2 separate times. I was charged last night January 4th at 642 pm and this morning January 5th at 446am. Both charges were for $29.42 from the same store number, 10878. I called the location and told them my issue and was asked are you sure it was from this location on highway 41? I said yes the location is on the top of my receipt that i am holding along with the phone number i used to call you. The woman asked for my name and number and told me it would be passed on to the next person. I called my bank right after I hung up with them and my bank confirmed to me that yes my account had in fact been charged twice and they were the ones who actually gave me the times. I called back the McDonalds and was told by a rude female that there was nothing they could do. I requested to speak to a manager or should I just call corporate and I was put on hold to speak with a man who told me it was an issue with my bank not them. I told them I just spoke with my bank and that they told me I was in fact charged twice at 2 separate times so no it was not a bank issue. I said I have now only 72 cents left in my account thanks to you double charging me and I need to speak to someone to find out how I get my money back! He put me on hold and when he came back said he spoke with the store owner and that they said that there is no way I was charged twice. That that cannot happen within the store without me being there and that I would have to contact my bank again and dispute the charges there is nothing they will do. I said ok well then I guess we will be in touch and I hung up. Rightfully upset at this point I am crying and angry over what some would seem as only $29.42 and to some that is nothing to cry over, but when it leaves you with 72 cents you would be upset. 29.42 to me is a lot of money. I will not just let this go. They were rude, didnt seem to care at all and acted as though I was burdening them with my problem and their mistake. I was charged twice, my money was taken, yet I am being talked to and treated like I am in the wrong!! The only thing I did wrong was to go to their establishment! If anyone can help me or knows who I should contact to get my money back it would be greatly appreciated.
