Alright, this just infuriates me..... The recent encounter New York animal control officers had with an man who had hundreds of snakes. IGNORANCE to the officers for opening their mouths on a matter they have not be educated on. 1st.... THis statement is for one WRONG! Gross said Burmese pythons can grow to 30 feet long and are "an accident waiting to happen." REALLY, it is the irresponsible owner who would be at fault for an incident waiting to happen, Thus this is the same idea as if a owner of a dog who knows bites, be off his leash,chain, cage, without the owner insight. The officers quote the recent tragedy of two boys being deceased in Canada by a Rock Python, as if it were related in anyway. First, of course if you have any animal more powerful than a human roaming free & not properly housed, there could be consequences for such irresponsible behavior. Just like a drunk driver drinking while intoxicated, you just might kill someone or yourself.... right.... As a proud owner of many serpents, responsibility is the key, just like many things in life. So here again, one irresponsible pet owner makes a bad rap for the ones who responsibly take on the ownership of serpents. One must not categorize all just because of ones stupidity! However, this man that was caught was illegally owning & breeding species that have been outlawed in his state. Which is indeed, illegal! ALL IN ALL..... Irresponsible Pet Owners & Breeders....
