Alright youre probably gonna think Im nuts or even to smart for my britches but..... remember when Arial had those egg size swellings from her shots? I googled and got vet advise from few different sources. Those spots popped mmm probably this past Friday or Saturday. It was while I was at work... then the other popped sunday.. which is great cause its not unusual for some dogs bodies to react that way to a foreign antibody. Anyway, Ive been doing my part of course but she keeps reopening them and I dont have a cone to protect those areas . I mean shes seriously making them worse. But it hasnt effected her energy level nor healing from parvo but she doesnt need another darn thing to make her ill. That means I dont want them to get infected. So I made a homemade cone with an above the knee sock. U wrap it around snug but not to tight as to where she cant breath. I would use her collar or something ot h en but that would need more tightening so I used duck tape to keep it snug all the way around with out choking her. Although Ive learned quite a darn bit during this process with Arial and even max. I would like to know if she can be bathed with open sores? Max had 2 spots but his went away on their own and thats typical . Unfortunately with Arials immune system being lowered because she was sick , her body doesnt have a strong immune system just yet. A typical pet will have his/her immune system built up. Arial has been through quite enough . Knocked on heavens door 3 times so far in such a short span. So, the point if it all is can I submerge her in soapy water with an open wound?? Or should I just give her a warm washoff? What can I spray on it to cleanse the area. She has been licking and nibbling on it. Dont laugh at me . Lol... i had medicated it and covered it but the vet said it needs to dry out. So I took it off .
