Alrighty! Hope everyone had a great holiday season. NOW onto offense! 1. First off if you boys are not playing basketball and watching college basketball...Get on it! Basketball fundamentals are directly translated to Lacrosse with both offense and defense. Offensively wise you boys have talked about getting down and setting up an offense. With basketball you are already doing this with your boy on the crease and everyone set up around the arc passing and cutting. PICK AND ROLL until it is second nature!! setting picks up top through traffic should be done so the man cutting brushes the shoulder of the man picking. there are some drills you can do with a man at G.L.E and have your middies receive a pass from the man at GLE and shoots on the keeper. This pick should be set up around 15 yards out from the goal. when you shoot you then become the man who sets the pick. Rotate BOTH LEFTY AND RIGHTY. Aint nobody got time for kids with one hand. But what I can not stress enough is to keep playing with each other, get used to your team mates tendencies and work together. Oh and if you boys have not started running.......Its time do at least four suicides on a full basketball court hitting each line. Doesnt matter if it is regulation or not each of them. and when you are done with that go for a two mile run nice and easy.
