Alrighty then. Were good to go. Hermitfest is the next music festival on my calendar, Ill be playing with Billie Shields and band and a bunch of other bands featuring folks I know and love. (And can I please reiterate, love, love, love?) Mark your calendars for this Saturday, September 6th. Those of you who, through no fault of your own will miss this amazing, indescribable collection of musical talent (not talkin bout me), my condolences, my sadness, my non-judgemental, everlasting, heartfelt sorrow from the pit of my heart, which happens to have a deep pit. Theres this thing, this permeable membrane between the former me and the present me. Funny thing. I didnt quite know how to get here from there. Seems Ive found a way. Seems I was meant to find a way. I should explain. How does someone find themself on the stage of a musical festival featuring some very, very, I say, very talented people? A couple years ago I didnt know. Now I know. But Knowledge isnt everything, I suppose you could argue music isnt everything, everything isnt the everything it used to be ultimately, what can I tell you? Come to this show. Hear the people play passionate music, yeah, Im thinkin of you, Kevin Dye. Party and hope and listen and be here, in the Sierra Nevada mountains and revel and enjoy, what more can I tell ya?
