People do not need to be quarantined unless they have come into contact with people have Ebola or unless they have symptoms, said Dr. David Nabarro, U.N. system coordinator on Ebola. Read the whole thing....unless they have direct contact with people who have Ebola....sounds to me like the UN Ebla Coordinator agrees with several Governors and the Pentagon about these health care workers....its called abundance of caution!!!! And contrary to the PC-ism of that foolish nurse in Maine and the fool in the White House....there is plenty of science that supports this policy.... 12% of Ebola patients never have a fever....males have virus in their semen for up to 80 days AFTER they are cured of the disease, which translates to asymptomatic carriers.....and we know that dogs and pigs can carry the virus as well as Fruit bats, monkeys and antelopes....plus, more people have antibodies to the virus in Africa than have been documented to have had the disease plus ~25% of the dogs there also have antibodies, but no clear disease...again asymptomatic carriers????? And there IS data that suggests under some conditions this virus can pass between species by an airborne transit !!!!! Good for you folks to the North...and in Australia and several of the other African nations.... science tells us clearly that an abundance of caution is needed with this one...too bad some people only want to hear the science that makes them feel superior to nature, to the Africans, to the rest of us scientists who ARE saying whoooaaaaa there morons....
