Also one year ago, this week, I learned the books final - TopicsExpress

Also one year ago, this week, I learned the books final page-count... plus or minus five pages or so. That was close enough to commit to the next stage of publication: sending Jaimes adorable cover image to the graphic artist who would design the cover. Its the sort of thing you dont think about until youre hip deep in self-publication; the cover has to meet all sorts of technical specs, down to the thousandth of an inch, so the image will be centered and the title will fit on the spine, etc. Michael Auger (Arty4ever) did a bang-up job and he did it FAST. I sent him the illustration at 6:00 am and he had the finished cover back to me by noon. (To be fair, he did know about the project and the general concept for a couple of weeks, and had already been coming up with ideas.) He chose the sparkling stained-glass background, the bright spotlight behind the figures, the groovy Spicy Rice font, and the cheery tangerine color for the text-box on the back. In case youre an e-book reader and have never seen the back of the book, here it is.
