Altaf Hussain expresses condemnation of firing incidents on Imambargahs in Gujranwalla.. The founder and leader of MQM Mr. Altaf Hussain has expressed condemnation of firing incidents on two Imambargahs in Gujranwalla. He termed the shooting incidents a conspiracy to instigate sectarian violence during the month of Muharram-ul-Harram. In a statement he said, “The brutal terrorists who are responsible for firing at the Imambargahs are working under an organized plan. Seeing the nefarious activities of terrorists, I make an appeal to the followers and scholars of all sects and ideologies not to respond to their provocations. I urge them to exercise restraint and maintain sectarian harmony at all cost.” Mr. Hussain expressed his deep sorrow and grief over the martyrdom of three people. He prayed to Allah to grant them high places in paradise. He demanded an action from the Prime Minister Nawaz Shareef Federal Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan and Chief Minister of Punjab to arrest the beasts responsible for the brutal attacks and prosecute them. He urged them to use all national resources to maintain sectarian harmony during the month of Muharram-ul-Harram.
