Altaf Hussain pays tribute to the people of Sindh for observing a successful day of mourning Determination of people cannot be diminished by violence and bloodshed London: 6th June 2013 The Founder and Leader of Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) Mr Altaf Hussain has thanked members of the business community, industrialists, transporters and people belonging to different spheres of lives for observing a peaceful “Day of Mourning” against the killing and torture of MQM workers in illegal detentions. He said that the people of Sindh exhibited complete unity and solidarity with the MQM and expressed their revulsion against the killing of innocent MQM workers, enforced disappearances and collection of huge extortion money in Karachi under government patronage. Mr Hussain said it had become obvious that violence and bloodshed could not diminish the courage and resolve of the people. He praised the Co-ordination Committee, the newly-formed Karachi Tanzeemi Committee, wings, different zones and workers of the MQM for observing a successful day of mourning. He expressed sympathies with the grieving family members of the martyrs.
