Although I agree with much of what these Christian leaders are saying, Im discomforted by the feeling that the headway these people make is simply adding minor corrections to a massive error. From the standpoint of one who has concluded that religion is a sham, I dislike any perpetuation of religion. In a practical sense, supporting these voices may be helpful in relieving some injustice, and while thats always good it still doesnt achieve the much better realization of religions demise. For me, its like a conflict of interest. The more bigotry that religion promotes, the more people it will probably inspire to be an enemy of religion (which I like), but more people would suffer in the meantime (which I dislike). Seriously, religion poisons everything.
