Although I am VERY happy to see how this was handled. ALL situations like this need to be handled the same way. There should not be any room for people to talk about preferential, or different treatment. One man handcuff, chocked until he collapses...cop immediately gets fired AFTER THEORY VIDEO SURFACES. ANOTHER man gets chocked, says how he cant breathe 11 times, dies, HANDCUFFED AFTER HES DEAD, Medical examiner says its a homicide, and the cop not only still has a job. But doesnt even have to go to court for what the doctor called a murder. Does ethnicity play a part in the police getting fired? The fact that it was a video of a white man getting chocked? How about the fact that it was a white man, that was choking a white man? Does it play a factor in one dying and the other living? These are all questions that miss the ENTIRE POINT of what happened. Whats happening is that we have civil rights AND human rights violations. These violations go across the board, and extend outside the hood. When we look at it from a Societal standpoint, everyone is invited to join in changing it. When we make it ONLY about ethnicities, then it leaves room for people to come in with what about this one time.... As people get closer, and more active, the glaring disproportionate stats will show themselves. *************EDIT************** SOOOOOO The cop didnt get fired. He was actually able to retire with benefits, and wont be charged. Article is below.
