Although I never use FB for anything more than fun...tonight is going to be a little different...as many of you are aware Mikey has a love for Wiffle Ball and this summer organized a team of friends to play in two SlamDiabetes tournaments to help raise awareness for Type 1 Diabetes...in the photo below I mentioned to the coordinator how I wanted Mikey to get involved in more than just the Wiffle Ball aspect.....tonight we learned that Mikey has been diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes....this diagnosis means a lifestyle change for all of us...there is no cure yet for Type 1...but through the proper diet and administering of daily insulin it can be controlled...the point of this post is simply to remind everyone to get involved in a good cause....just because....you never know when it may become bigger than the Wiffle Ball tournament for you too....
