Although I rarely enjoy posting trivial daily activities, today, I woke up to the local jazz station, made breakfast, watched the rain from my apartment in Chelsea, walked to the gym, spent the morning in the recording studio, rehearsed midday for a show in preparation for Vancouver, signed a contract with an organization Ive never worked with before, went grocery shopping, walked through a filming in my neighborhood, cooked dinner, and took a business call to accept an orchestration project whilst walking to the bookstore. As I was staring at the Empire State building on the way back home tonight, I had to remind myself, Oh, this is real. Sometimes, we run so fast and worry ourselves so much that we forget to pause and appreciate what we have where we are. The life Im living right now is rather special. May I never forget that. May we never forget that during any step in our journey. Every phase of life holds riches to explore and secrets to uncover. We can either choose to focus on what we dont have or celebrate being alive!
