Although Im at odds with my ex husband, I could not imagine our girls losing their dad forever. He was the love of my life and I was patient for so long with whatever or whoever he put first in his life. It eventually took its toll. But I am very thankful for the 3 beautiful girls we have. I will always care and have love for him because of our girls. For the past week I have been silent about a tragic death in the family and the pain my sister is going thru after her life turned upside down with the lost of her husband. I thought I was strong but I have been compromised with her and their childrens lost. Today she laid him to rest with the support of family and friends. I admired the strength she had like a mighty oak tree as the draped flag as carefully folded and handed to her following the gun salute. There is still a lot of denial, disbelief and shock with all family but justice will be made. And a major life adjustment she has to continue with their children alone is heart breaking. Its a good thing she has family who are always there for each other :) You always hear people saying that Life is too short and Im realizing that today. We all have fragile strengths so plz forgive, tell your loved ones you care for them or love them because you dont know what tomorrow holds. Max will always be remembered esp with his optimism.
