Although family, co-workers and local friends already know, that are a great many who have not yet heard. I am essentially posting a two-week update :) On 6/22 while performing my normal Saturday morning cycling workout, I was hit by a car at an intersection. Bottom line was 9 fractures, 1 ugly looking clavicle, 1 painful scapula, three front ribs and four back ribs, all on the left side. Hospital stay was four days. Missed my family reunion in Michigan as well as catching up with my college room mate and spouse who also lives there. I am home and improving daily. Only bad news is that I cannot travel for at least two more weeks. In keeping with our bike themed family reunion, I received a yellow jersey from the relatives with much thanks - Please let Cassie know that I can still take her in the sprints and the challenge is on for next year :) I look forward to completing my recovery and would like to go meet the EMTs and a good Samaritan who assisted at time of accident.
